Hey there, I'm Sylvia Northwood!

It's fantastic to connect with you. Ever since I was a kid – literally, I started scribbling stories around age seven! – I've been fascinated by the big questions and the worlds just beyond our grasp. That's probably why my writing tends to dance between the stars of sci-fi, the quiet depths of the spiritual, and the fascinating, ever-evolving landscape of technology.

You might be surprised to hear that my day job for a long time was in the fast-paced world of Fortune 100 companies. That experience, oddly enough, has fueled so much of my fiction and non-fiction – it’s given me a unique lens on how big ideas and human ingenuity (or sometimes folly!) shape our reality.

Beyond writing, I'm a total sponge for learning new things, and I absolutely love sharing what I discover. If I'm not lost in a book or tapping away at my keyboard, you'll probably find me out for a run (my best ideas often strike mid-stride!) or unwinding with some gaming.

I pour all of these passions into my books, hoping to spark a little curiosity, maybe a new perspective, or just provide a great escape.
